A beautiful sunny day on Saturday May 14th saw members enjoying a day out.
The morning visit was to Heath house, Offley Brook.
It is always eventful getting to remote gardens but this seemed more so than most! After we had negotiated the sandstone gully, narrow country lanes, horses and road repairs we finally arrived at a stunning location.
The garden overlooks the mill pond which because the hedge conceals the intervening road appears to be part of the garden. Sitting on the terrace (coffee and cake) in the sun was delightful.

The garden at Heath House was delightful but for most of us the icing on the cake was our visit to Barlows Nursery and garden which followed. We were bowled over by the quality and size of the plants on offer – big pots, beautifully presented and sensible prices.
