Our morning visit was to “Langdale”, in the village of Offenham, nr Evesham. This is the home and garden of Sheila and Adrian James. They moved there nine years ago and created their garden from scratch.
Full of interesting plants and interesting ideas, reflecting Sheila and Adrian’s long standing enthusiasm for collecting and trying unusual and sometimes tender plants. Pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved in our gardens.

In the afternoon we visited Coughton Court a National Trust garden near Alcester
There is an excellent Rose & Walled garden, but not at its best this year after two months of virtual drought.
All in all a good day out, but it is “Langdale” which will stay in the memory as just the sort of garden we love to visit.
